The Orkney Islands are the nearest group to the north of Mainland Scotland, and can be seen from the Mainland. A trip with a friend up to Orkney wasn't specifically about photography, but I managed to get a few landscapes photographed whilst there. We found the people to be remarkably friendly and welcoming, so the addition of fine weather left us with many great memories of our visit.
