Home to thousands of nesting gannets each summer, the Bass Rock is set off the East Lothian coast in the Firth of Forth and is a popular destination for visitors by boat. Few are permitted to land, so it was a rare privilege to get the opportunity to land and photograph gannets. More can be read in my blog of 16th July 2011.
