It's been a while since I posted anything on here and having reached the grand total of 10,000 visitors (see screenshot below), I feel it is as good a time as any to bow out of hosting this website.
More and more as we find ourselves in this restricted and fast-changing world, I find myself reflecting how extremely lucky I have been to visit such amazing corners of it. I always did consider myself to be lucky in this regard, but as our passports are currently not as free-ranging as they had been, I realise that no-one can take my amazing memories from me, photos or no photos. I always had a sense that I would visit Svalbard again, not through any specific plan though. Likewise, New Zealand. As time passes, however, I start to wonder.
Anyway, those journeys may or may not be mine to take again in due course. If, as may be the case, they become a closed book, I know I have all these images and more in my head.
I'm not quite sure when the site will cease to be visible, but in the meantime, thank you for coming to experience some of the photos through my lens. I hope they have inspired dreams of your own, and a bit of escapism for a while.
Take care; keep safe.
