POLAR BEAR NEAR HORNSUND

POLAR BEAR NEAR HORNSUND

I spotted this third and final bear of our trip as it had just hauled out onto the ice floe. It was initially lying on the ice looking brown, so I thought it was a walrus. Then it rose, shook and started sniffing. It had scented something some way off and paid no attention to us at all, so unlike the previous bear, we were able to follow it for a short while.
